I'm not really into race cars as they seem too good a lot of the time. Give me some recommendations of stuff that doesn't have to be massively powerful but is still 'involving'. The last two cars I thought were awesome were the 83 fairlady and the 02 Lotus Esprit (why did I not buy it earlier!!!).

I'm after stuff that keeps you on your toes but isn't like Yellowbird, leaving you dazed and confused and looking back where you just came from.

I've now got 300 cars and have probably driven about only 50-60 of them, so there's plenty I still haven't a clue about.

LDP's NSX '91. Go find it, make it, then whip it round Nordschleife. Or get an FTO Super Touring Car (HARD), and just take it stock. Or, last but not least, an F40 with the 2K tune and Oil Change, and around the Nordschleife.

VW SambaBus...

That thing is beast when you buy all the upgrades and tune it properly... 202 BHP with high RPM turbo..

I made 8:22 around the 'Ring...

Im guessing by invoving you mean "connected to the driver" and not "must concentrate or I'll kill you".
Ferrari F40 with a custom 6 speed.cs tyres.
BMW M3 E90.cs tyres.
TVR Tamora.cs tyres.
McLaren F1.sh tyres
Mclaren mp4-12c.sh tyres.
And some not on my mind at the moment.
That being said I think the yellowbird is an excellent drift car.

It would have been the Giulia TZ2 but that is strictly speaking a race car. However both of RKM's Elise (Romeo and Juliet! :O) tunes are very good indeed.

either fiat panda with 181hp or a ford ka with over 200hp......

or do what i did once online and take the kubelwagon(though mine has near enough all available upgrades) and take it round the nurb :dopey:..

Yeah 66 cobra, the old viper GTS and the new ACR viper are beastly to drive.

For a race car that's fun around the Nurburge ring, i really like the NASCAR's after a bit of tweeking there very fast and fun to drive. I ran some where around a 6 30 with it. Real nail biter it will go faster though Im sure of it.

All above suggestions are good (Samba Bus?), or

Ford GT 06 w/stock power and good suspension tuning
Corvette Z06 w/engine chip, Stage 1, good suspension
Subaru WRX sti, any
Skyline Nurburgring Edition, Stage 2
Any NSX, at about 375-400hp
Mercedes 190E Touring Car, stock
Amemiya RX7
AEM S2000
Nismo Super Leggera
High Performance G37 w/Stage 1 or 2 tuning
Audi R8 or LeMans Quattro, stock
Cusco Dunlop WRX, or Cusco Impreza
VW GTI, or Lupo Cup Car, Stage 2
Honda Civic Type R, Stage 2
Honda S2000, Stage 2
You want involving? AC Cobra 427, stock, w/Sport or Racing Meds

In order of my liking:

=> Chevvy Corvette C3 (from the new car dealership) - with a few power upgrades and a lot of suspension tuning
=> Lotus Elise 111R RM
=> A/C 427 Cobra - modified to the max
=> Ferrari F40 - unmodified
=> Ferrari 458 -with a few upgrades
=> Mazda Furai - modified to the max

There are many others, but these are the main ones which just tempt me to go for a spin around the 'Ring or Monza (if I'm in a hurry).

Try these on the 'ring with sports softs:
Caterham fireblade (fully upgraded), if you want a good setup pm me
RX-7 (slight upgrade to personal prefrence)
512BB
Any good S2000

They're all drivers' cars. Different strokes for different folks. Find one on your own and you won't regret it.

Mine is the IS F RM `07 :)

I love cars which have some oversteer on throttle, these take the cake for me:D
- F40
- Elise 111R
- Honda NSX-R
- Acura NSX RM

This is gran turismo, there is no right or wrong answer. Just pick a car you like the qualities of and tune to your own specifications.

If you want the most involving car out there.

Lancia stratos - tuned to 250hp and 970kg + sports softs.

With a good tune, it can be driven anywhere from perfection to insanity project gotahm style over steer.

Remember more power does not always improve a vehicle.

Also the 1960's r800 (or something) honda race car is a hoot too.

Literally anything that pops up in the UCD that isn't FF drivetrain is worth a lap on the ring. Unless the car is a classic or some type of special I usually favor something over 250 hp.
