What cars do you recommend people use to start the game with and then buy as they progress through the games tiers and drift events? It would be nice if you would suggest some cars and what level of mods you have on it.

I think it would help a lot of people to have a list of recommended cars to help avoid the aggravation of wasting time on what might be a garbage car.

I'm very frustrated with my Works S2000. The car was great in Tier 1 and then i fully modded it for Tier 2 and I'm not too happy. So, I'm looking to buy a Tier 1/2 car that can take tuning and not suffer from the adverse effects that some cars have when you put on a Stage 2/3 and Works mod. I thought the Camaro would be a good choice base on it's spec, but it is one of the cars that does not react well with mods.

Most of the 4WD cars respond very well to tuning, all the way to the max. 👍 No works kit for most of them though.

The Mazda RX-7 is flawless from what I noticed. Even at full Works.

I bought an Audi RS4 and modded it with most of Stage 2/3, stopped short of Seam Welding. I like the car a lot, even with a controller, but that has issues in and of itself. I much prefer my G25!

I'll give the S2000 a good shakedown in a bit.

Thank you sir!

I found the R35 to be the best Tier 3 car, it even handles fantastic after the works conversion. The Zonda R is probably the best tier 4 car, it is pretty much the only tier 4 car I have driven apart from the Veyron which wasn't that exciting.

Starter Car: I started with the Toyota Corolla GTS. It's RWD, handles great, and has lots of room for improvements but it is pretty outclassed in it's stock form.
Tier 2: I chose the Subaru WRX STI. Just a good all around car. Takes off like a rocket and handles like it's on rails. Once you get the works upgrade, it turns into a absolute monster of a car.
Tier 3: I used a Porsche 911 GT3 RS. Excellent handling and decent power. It can last you a long time before needing to upgrade.
Late Tier 3: I upgraded to a Porsche 911 GT2. Same great handling as the GT3 only with more top-end power. Great car but it can get a little tail-happy in some situations.
Tier 4: I bought a Corvette Z06 and upgraded it to full works. It's a lot more fun than a Zonda or Lamborghini IMO, and with a good driver/set up, it can be competitive with just about any car in the game. 'course that's only when it decides it want's to leave the starting line

My starter car was an Audi S3, an all rounded car. Fairly quick with enough power and great handling to have some fun. I'd recommend this to anyone starting the game.

Tier 2: Impreza STI, another AWD car. Handles great, dosen't suffer from the bouncing glitch, and is prepared to slide around anything.

Tier 3: Murcielago LP640. Probably the easiest to drive out of the entire tier and damn quick too. Can easily beat just about anything when given the works package.

Tier 4: Zonda R. Brilliant handling and speed, but essentially pointless. I still use the LP640 over this.

Tier 1: BMW 135i
Tier 2: Nissan Skyline R34
Tier 3: I started with GT2 (Which was great, till it started boucing on Road America), till I bought Nissan R35
Tier 4: Zonda F & Zonda R

Tier 1: BMW 135i
Tier 2: Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34)
Tier 3: Works Nissan GT-R (R35)
Tier 4: Pagani Zonda R or Works Chevrolet Corvette Z06

Tier 1: Audi TT
Tier 2: Lotus Elise
Tier 3: Lamborghini Murcielago
Tier 4: Zonda R

Those in my opinion are the fastest cars for each tier when fully modified.

what version you have? I have ps3 and works rx7 is totally undriveable.

My brother, who has the 360 version says the same about the Cayman S. Have it on it's own, it is ****ing sweet to drive. Get all of the mod stuff on and it becomes horrible

What is meant by "recommended car"? The best car to win events in, or the most "realistic" car to drive.

So far, my favourite car is the 135i, because it has a nice balance of understeer & oversteer, so throwing the car around the rack feels more realistic than with a lot of the other cars, with their odd responses to inputs.

Due to all the issues in the game concerning physics and 'bouncing' etc I tend to find that some cars suffer more than others. Personally, on Tier 3 I use the Nissan GTR. Downside is the top speed is borked. I'd be lucky to hit 190, and this is fully tuned to 660bhp. Alternatively the Murcielago is good, but again suffers from low top speed, and it has 900bhp!
Tier 1 cars are all about even, in that the races they enter aren't too hard. Personally I go for the Audi TT. Tier 2 I prefer the Evo 10. And Tier 4, the Zonda R. These are all cars that seem to be free (or relatively free) of the game bugs. but as you get all your money back from selling cars it's best to try them all and find the one you like best.

I think my Tier 2 car was an Elise, and it was damn good.
For Tier 2 I'd say get an R35 GT-R Vspec, then once you have the money to go full works on a standard GT-R R35, sell the vspec and do that.
Once you've got even more money, go works on a murcielago and that'll pwn just about anything.
