So I picked up a load of old Star Wars games from Steam off the back of an offer, and some of these are variations of X-Wing (vs) TIE Fighter and similar, which I can remember playing way back and also remember them benefitting from a decent joystick (also more "realistic" if you will, for the X-Wing anyway)
As I've only got into PC gaming in the last few years and have no flight sim or space combat games, I was wondering what joysticks people recommend. I'm looking for the kind where you, erm, hold the shaft like in an aircraft or helicopter, and I know MS did a few of these, and doubtless others like Logitech. Not wanting to spend too much, about £20.00 tops so looking for a cheap and cheerful new one, or a fancier older one I might be able to pick up on eBay. Doesn't matter if it's USB or the old style connector (as you can get adaptors), as long as it will work fully in Windows 7.
