OK, I'm not going to reply to all races because my strategy is pretty straightforward:

5 laps or less - MEDIUM SLICKS, wear on/off.
7 laps - MEDIUM SLICKS, if I can make it without pitting; otherwise SUPER SLICKS.
10 laps or more - SUPER SLICKS, wear on/off

Enduros - SUPER SLICKS

I never use softer tires than medium, because I don't want to get in the habit of relying on them. They just don't last long enough to be useful. Except for laptime competitions in free run, where I run super softs.

I also try to drive as if tire wear was on all the time, just to keep in practice.

if there is no tire wear, always use super soft.
7laps or less, and mediums should get u there.

more than 7 laps and u might wanna go super slicks. i take the strategy of sacrificing grip so that i dont have to pit much.

it can depend on the car, though. try running a few qualifing laps to see how your tires wear. on some cars, the tires dont wear evenly (wear quicker in front than rear, etc.). so you can put one type of tire on the front, and the next softest tires on the rear, to give u even tire wear.

idem for me

I have only changed my tires to something else than medium twice :
1- Doing the Mazda MX5 roadster endoru I put the hardest compound on
2- With my drifting cars I slip on those realistic tires.

I used to run super soft anytime wear was off, but Neon Duke makes an oustanding point. Once you get used to all that traction, you loose your edge. I hope the tire wear wont be so horrible in gtC... I mean its cute and all, but why do I feel like If I was watching a JGTC race in Japan, the cars would spend more time on the track than in the pits?

Also I recommend putting Harder tyres on the front of an FF Car and softer on the rear :burnout:

Oh Richimoto there is no tyre wear on GTC :D unless you choose to have so in the Options...:spin:
