Has anyone had any luck getting home-authored DVD-R/DVD-RW dics to work on the PS2. I've just got a DVD recorder for my PC, and tried putting some home movies on a disc last night. The disc played fine on DVD player on the PC, but I got an error message when played on the PS2.

Any advice?

From what I understand, you have to install the correct Mod-Chip in order for DVD+/-R/W's to work for home use. It is also my understanding that the version of PS2 that you have also makes a difference.

Many home DVD players will not support DVD+/-R/W's either (look on www.vcdhelp for information on that.)
And Pako is correct, you'll need to put a modchip in your PS2 to get it to play anything but retail discs.
