Records?

Ok, I'm a newbie but I've searched and can't find the answer to my question - which I'm sure is simple/stupid and I've overlooked something...

I'm in the simulation mode and when I select a race, etc, there is no 'Records' option that comes up when at the start screen. The manual specifically has that as being an option - am I missing something?? I would really like to be able to keep track of my (or even the computer's) best times....Do I have to reach a certain level for this feature or something???

I'mnot certain that this is available in the Simulation section. It is available in the Arcade section.

It may be a mis-print in the maual, or are you sure you're reading the Sim mode, not hte arcade mode?

Must be a misprint then - its on the last page of the 'Simulation Mode' section (page 22), under the pre-race and post-race menu selections.....
 
There are records in the "run and settings" which is in simulation mode, it basicaly the same thing as free run in arcade mode, but with less tracks.
 
They dont keep track of the 12 fastest laps for each race in the game. Only in Run and Setting (Under "Home") and in the Machine Test Area. They also keep records of fastest laps in Arcade Mode, but only for Free Run and Time Trial's. Not for the Single Race option.


But there aren't any records kept in the "Go Race" Area
