I am for a good challenge but this is stupid I have been trying for a week to beat challenge, now I am just plain frustrated some people play games for fun and enjoyment,some for other reasons, when you put in all the hours to get an acheivement and they let some race car driver tha drives out this world it is just plain stupid! I am not about to go spend 70 to 150 bucks on a steering wheel, because they want extra money, I would just as soon pay someone 30 dollars to bust my head first! When ou develop a game think about the people who play for fun not skill!!!!!

You will get much more enjoyment out of gt5 with a wheel though.

They did, most of the A-Spec events are a walk in the park, controller or not; you have to play a lot of easy races over and over and over again or play some harder ones (endurance races) to even know the Vettel challenge exists (if you don't look it up, that is). Thus it's reasonable to expect the challenge to be near impossible, only good players unlock it, and the reward is the most technologically advanced (and, well, fastest) car in the game, so you can't expect it to be too easy.

However I do think they should have given the X-1 as the reward for silver, made silver only just harder than bronze is now and make bronze doable.

Of course you could keep grinding until level 40 and then just buy the X-1, and if you're not concerned about the prize car then why not just, like, not do the challenge?
 
I thought it was fairly easy, I did it using a dualshock controller and completed all 3 with gold in less than an hour. What are u struggling with in particular? I've got a replay on the snow course; not sure if I can share replays or not.
 
I've spent about 2 hours in this car so far and I'm almost at the gold level. What really helped me was turning on the skid recovery, mild steering assist, no tcs and abs at 1. HTH.

The X1 is fueled by tears. The more bitter they are, the faster is goes. These seem pretty bitter.

Wheel, I'm all wheel now, well since GT5P. But I'm not as quick as I used to be with a DS2 sadly. I've got .9 to trim for both The Nurb. GP/F and Suzuka. A half a second a lap isn't the end of the world.

Just unlocked this, and tbh I thought it was supposed to be much harder than this. Was fairly easy to get bronze, actually got bronze in like three or four tries on all tracks, but to get gold takes a LOT of practise I believe.

I can't imagine playing this with a controller, imo you really need a wheel to master it.
 
Damn feddixx I envy u big time ... I gave up on that challenge already and I Could only get the Bronze at Monza by 0.012 with the DS3 after 2 maybe 3 days trying ... Nice job m8

Decided this morning to buy the G27 for the stupid amount of 523 US Dollars ...

Its true in Brazil we have lots of Beautiful Girls, but im already married and i wish imports were cheaper !

Thanks for the reply, I'll be getting a wheel shortly. Controller just don't cut it especially when there's a fast steady long sweeper, or switch backs like on the Nurb. GP track.

Thanks! I managed to get gold on Monza, and comes close to silver at Suzuka, but im like 4 seconds off the silver time on Nurburgring. I can probably gold Suzuka tomorrow 💡

Yeah, a wheel really does make a difference, a bit pricey though but its worth it!
