I have gold on every race and special event except for the X2010 challenge. I have bronze in all three tracks. What is your opinion of the best way to practice to get gold?

1. Just keep doing the challenge races over and over
2. Practice each of the 3 tracks a certain # of laps before entering the challenge
3. Race several difference tracks in the X2010
4. 24 hour endurance races

I'm down to 2:13.xxx on Monza, but that is the closest I am to silver or gold of the three so far.

Basically everything you put there is what you got to do to have a chance at golding them. That and a lot of praying lol.

Honestly my method when I bronzed them was to just keep doing the challenge over and over until I got a good feel for the car. It never seems to feel quite right with a DS3 though as the twitch reflexes the car is asking of you is just nerve racking.

I gave up with bronze on all three and am happy with it for now. Maybe one day I will go back and try them again when I get a steering wheel.

I haven't done them yet but I believe a wheel and clutch shifting is the fastest way around them!

Practice, Practice, Practice, Practice, Practice, Practice, Practice, Practice, Practice, Practice, Practice, Practice, Practice, Practice, eventually you will gold it. PD did change the times so DS3 users have a better chance of golding it all.

And who didn't know this?

Who would expect to get a gold in the X2010 challenge without practice. This thread, in my opinion is pretty pointless. Yes, there are people out there who don't know anything but the answer will always be: practice.

Practice is the key though. When I first tried the challenges, I couldn't drive the track at all without either spinning, going off track, or brake properly. I recently did the Sukuka 1000km Endurance race (took about 4 hours in the X2011) and went back to the challenges, and you know what, practice DOES make perfect. I got gold on 2 of them, didn't attempt the Nurburgring yet.

After driving the X2011 for 4 hours, not straight but 2 hours at a time, really gave me the feel for the car. I could take turns faster and smoother than I could before. I used DS3 for this race (I don't do endurance races with wheel), as well as the challenges.

If you're using DS3, small and smooth movements are the key. I don't hammer the throttle or brake all the time, keep your lines smooth and keep one gear higher than the recommended. I always try to keep a higher RPM so I use manual all the time.

The way I got gold on them was by using my steering wheel and no driving assist but ABS and driving line, it took a little while to get use to but just keep it out of 1st gear and even second gear as much as possible and you won't have hardly any wheel spin.. Hope this helps!

Monza:cut ALL the chicanes
Suzuka:do Susuka 1000km
Nurburgring:practice practice practice well actually not really hard to get bronze silver is much harder though
My 100th post!

There is quite a few videos in YouTube also but if I try to post a link it doesn't work correctly :/ .. But try to watch them and study a little, you will notice with the ones were the driving line is on that you can break A LOT later then it shows and alot of corners especially on NUR you don't have to break AT ALL, unlike the driving line suggest!
