Hey peoples. So I already won an x1/x2010 from the challenge, and now I'm goin for the silver prize. I don't use any assistors like TC, so when I floor it in the beginning of the challenge my tires spin and my revs go over this sort of mountain. If i shift up when the revs are highest, then I end up in gear 2 and my revs still go down, meaning i have to reaccelerate up. I feel like i los a good 1.5 seconds from this, so i was wondering. Is there any way to keep myself in gear 1 and start up normally instead of this overreving thing?
 
Don't floor it when you're pulling off because the wheels will just lose their traction. Give it the most you can without causing the wheels to slip, and build the throttle up to maximum. You're good to floor it once you hit second (in this car at least).

I found out that if you start on Traction Control: 5, you are slower than you are in Traction Control off setting.

Anyways, I kept the traction control off for all of my runs and floored it each time, only shifted into 2nd around 120km/h. It didn't seem to affect my time at all:boggled:
 
You may be spinning the wheels, but I guarantee you that it's not having an effect. The X1's tires have an absolutely ridiculous amount of grip. You aren't losing time by letting the wheels spin, but you are losing time by shifting up. Just floor it and go.

ABS 10 and steering sensitivity set to +7. I bronzed all 3 with these settings. It still isn't easy, I was caught out by a few conrners multiple times. The nurburgring is realtively easy.
 
use automatic, makes it much more easier to accelerate, also use anti-drift (ON)

Gotta say here...ONLY USE AUTOMATIC IF U WANT BRONZE. Automatic makes it muce easier to forcus on the track, but believe it or not it wastes a TON of time. learn manual in the x1 you'll never regret it

nothing but abs 10

used this setting from another user and it made the car flow way better
tc and sfr make the car and low abs make the car slow toooo much in turns. easiley bronzed them all and now a silver in monza. Thank you to whoever first posted about doing it this way
