Just done this new championship and I have to say it's exactly what the game has been needing - the fun factor! What a great new addition! No abundance of power, low weight, high downforce and grip to make for brilliantly judged and equal racing. Unlike their big brothers they are fun rather than just a point and squirt machine and hope for the best! I really hope this car gets some more events of it's own. I have a feeling it's going to be an extremely popular car but the good point is, is that people will actualy be able to control it in online rooms. What with their stats' and performance it feels like the equivelant of Palmer Sport Jaguars or Radicals. A very welcome addition, thanks, PD!

They'll be fine until people start sticking stage 3 turbos on them and race soft tyres

Even if you put stage 3 turbo on it, LM cars would still be faster. You have to try the Junior before judging. It is not that fast nor acceleration worth praising for. But the aerodynamics are what this thing is good at. (Driving it atm).

Stock:
0-100km/h ~5 sec
100-200km/h ~15sec
Top speed: ~245km/h
Top speed w/ stream: ~260km/h

Can't give accurate numbers. Those were from the starting grid (standing start) and there was some slipstreaming. I can post some lap times later.

It's absolutely brilliant, even drafting a Toyota Minolta down Silverstones Hanger straight it only got 147mph. It's the corners that matter. Totaly standard it won by half a second in a 5 lap event. Competition is back with this car!

*edit* Just checked, great news!!! It cannot be tuned on power! :D

An absolute monster. Can't wait for some spec racing! :D

Just completed the Spa 24 minute event in it. At one point it was nearly a minute down but due to it's light weight it handles it's tyre wear and fuel depletion well enough to not need pit stops, meaning it won the event by 9 seconds. Front tyres went down to level 2 on the last lap, close call!

Can you also put non-race tyres on this car? Might be tons of fun with reduced grip by putting sports or comfort tyres on it :)

Yes, any tyres can be used but to me that would ruin the whole point of the car, in it's very description it describes it as a car optimised for grip and downforce as opposed to outright speed. It's PP is 736 so against cars at that level it needs the grip generated by a racing tyre to make it competetive.

It's not overpowered which is great, the game definitely needed an open wheeler like this 👍

Can anybody list stock peak power/torque figures (with RPM)? And make a screenshot/photo of the power/torque curves if possible?
I'm trying it out in the Red Bull challenge and somehow I think that the shifting lights in the cockpit view aren't working as intended.

Ok, I won the championship and got one.
It's got 246 hp @ 8500 rpm and 23 kgfm @ 7500 rpm. Redline 8700 rpm. It seems like the Honda S2000 engine.

Looks like in this challenge cars are not slowing down on the last laps for you to win :)

Winning tip: try increasing the front brake power from 5 to 10 with the RA menu. For some reason this car appears to have relatively weak brakes which almost never lock wheels even by disabling the ABS driving assist. By increasing the front braking power to 10 you will have shorter braking distances.

It's similar to an S2000 engine, but it's just like any NA tuned 4 pot, rev it and rev it until it sounds like it's going to explode, then change gear. You're right about the shift lights, they come on around 6k rpm instead of the 8500 rpm redline.

With the downforce upped and the gearing made quite a bit shorter it's stupidly fast, ran a 1:11 at Brands GP with a few mistakes.

Nah, I got it all the the first try. I'm just comparing it to the experience we got while playing career mode, winning with over 40 seconds ahead..
