hi everybody.

I was searching for a gaming rig that is compact and cheap (I live in an apartment) and I found the Redline GT Gamestation.

here's the link to the item:

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8184052560

now, anyone heard of it? or anyone have it? what's it like?

And does anyone know any other compact racing rigs? basically, I just want the stand for the wheel and peddles. Thanks.

edit: I just found another one called TrueDrive and it looks very compact like this one but too bad the website to it is in Italian.

Waste. I would just make my own , seems easier! Just get a chair and a little stand , and your done! Now start those 24 hr races!

Yes! Finally, someone who understands good design.
I LIKE it, but I'll still make my own.

Cheers,

MasterGT

You call that good design? Like that little fork that goes right between your legs? Have fun reaching the brake comfortably. Not very ergonomic in my opinion. Also, if I were to build something like that, I'd use a racing seat and change to drivers position to something more realistic. Plus most of all, that thing so tacky looking.

just by looking I can see that the wheel would wobble, and the last thing you need on a long race is that cold metal touching your legs. just make your own, or do it the easy way, mount to a table/desk.

Yes, the designer has done a good job, although that name plate would never see the light of day here.

It may not be to everyone's taste, but this stand looks as if it solves a number of common problems: small in size; stable; foldable; adjustable, holds pedals.

The adjustable support looks as if it is out of the way, so no problem from that.

"Seats" have nothing to do with a stand like this.
It is meant to be used with furniture, another advantage for some people.

Just because someone doesn't "like" it doesn't mean it's worthless, in the right situation and for the right people.

I dont get whats with the stand in the middle, between your legs. I guess you're meant to left foot brake all the time, looks sill IMO.

Hi,Hi, Thank you for your inquiry about the RedLine GT RaceStation. I rhink that our product addresses each of the requirements that you've set forth. It is compact, light weight and easily folde up for storage. What I personally like about it is that is VERY stable and can adjust to about any chair or sofa size. If you've looked at our web site you will see that we offer a money back SATISFACTION guarantee. We want our customers to be happy and enjoy thier in home racing experiance as much as we do. I've read all the replies to your posting and I appreciate the comments, negative as well as the good ones. We have other ideas for the racestation and all the input we recieve is considered in our design process. A comment about rigs with an attached seat, DON'T BUY ONE unless you can sit in the seat first. I'm a former racer and speak from experiance when I tell you that "formed" plastic seats are sized and if your not the right size for the seat you will find it uncomfortable at best.Google "redline gt racestation" and see what you think. Thanks again , pull those belts tight, and let's go racin". RedLine Enterprises
