I just came across this its not the best article about but it does mention it (second paragraph). Anybody heard about this or is anybody already doing this?

Now, sites like Eurogamer have found a handy way to cut those loading times in half. If you have a SSD (solid state hard drive), you can install into your PS3 (old or slim) and hit the track in no time. Also, the original, 50-minute 6.5GB install only takes half the time to perform with an SSD. While your average person may not have an SSD, it's worth using it if you do."
