Refueling taking to long?

Is it just me or does it seem to take way to long to refuel the car in the pits? Seems like it takes forever to get a full tank. Most of the time in Nascar races it seems that pit stops are under 20 seconds but here when the tank is almost dry seems like it takes 3-4 times that. Tire change on the other hand is pretty quick.
 
I have noticed this, too. I stopped the time during the Indy 500 event. The fuel guy needs 32 seconds to refuel 55 litres. He is probably from Switzerland.

And if you refuel less than 20 litres, so the refueling takes less time than the change of the tires, the pit crew does nothing for about five seconds after the tires are mounted. I have a video of this. It seems the game expects you to refuel at least 30 litres.
 
I have Bob running the Indy 500 right now and gave him the FGT to insure a win. When he pits he needs 99 liters seems to take forever to put that much fuel in the car.
 
My F1 holds 100 Liters. I read online that F1 cars IRL would have a capacity of 90-100 liters so that seems right on.

Nascar use 17.6 Gallon tanks IRL which would be about 66 Liters not sure what they hold in game.

i havent yet reached indy 500 im a few lvls below, but do you actually need a full tank? in race's i have run the tires tend to wear down fast then the tank can empty, theres no reason in topping it off.
as of now fueling seems to only take as long as the tire swap.

I am letting Bob use the FGT. Started him with Hard racing tires and he was out of gas long before the tires needed swapped. I switched to Med race tires and still out of gas while tires were good to go. he is still running now and up several laps so I am going to leave him alone for now but looks like he will need to pit 5-6 times as near as I can tell each time with the fuel in the red and needing 99 liters.

Nascar btw IRL takes about 13-14 seconds for tire change and refuel. This car holds about 30% more fuel so I could see up to 30 seconds for a full tank but it seems to take a lot longer than that.


Edit: Man I swear that FGT uses some serious gas. You can literally see the gauge dropping as he cruises round the track at 200 + mph
 
I've grinded the Indy 500 about 5 times and you're right, the refuel takes an absolute age. I thought the game had stalled at first, then I bean to wonder if the pit crew were refuelling the car with a pipette.
 
i thoguht the samething that lada did i thught my gave froze or something when it took that long but after a few cars passed me i realized it wasnt that i think the reason why it takes so long is that the refueling only takes place after the tires go on like in alms
