Regarding the backed up save. What if I were to...

I'll explain this as simply as I can.

Let's say I back up my save onto a USB. I then go to play the game normally with my normal save on the HDD. Then, I gift, say, an Enzo for example to an alt profile. I then quit out of the game, delete my save, and then replace it with backed up save. I'll obviously still have the Enzo because the back up save was from before I gifted out the Enzo.

I then start up my game with the alt profile, and then send that Enzo back to my main profile.

When I then start up the game again using my main profile does that mean I'll have 2 Enzos (one waiting there in gifts)? Theoretically duping the car?
 
Interesting point. That might work.

Did someone not say that gifting wasnt working though?
 
Hopefully that will corrupt your save game file and force you to start over.
 
Which is why I'm not willing to try it. I would however like it to work so that the people with the X1 can dupe a load of them and make them easily available for less so that you don't have to grind world of warcraft style.
 
The X1 is not that hard to get. I have 2 of them already.
 
There are many ways in which you can 'abuse' a backup save, trust me I have worked out lots of them already, and so can anyone - it concerned me that PD were aware of this as well.

There is no way I am going to try, use or post them (because I do not need to, it does nothing for me) but I know that they will appear either here or on other sites sooner or later.

Ultimately the bigger picture is that you can backup many months of hard work. The 'abuse' is just short term gain - and anyways skill does come into this game. You cannot 'buy' GT skill through glitches.
