Hello, this is my first thread, at first i didn't want to write abut it, but after reading K.Z. interview, it changed my mind:

2 days ago i was at a porsche driving school in mexico city and I was talking with one of the instructors about Gran Turismo and this guy seemed like a good player. He mentioned to me that he read somewhere just the day before that GT5 release date was going to be waay sooner than expected, with the possibility that it would be march next year. Of course he told me that it was not very reliable information so it wouldn't be such a nice idea to get our hopes up.

BTW i also spoke to another german instructor named Timo, who claimed to have a 7:34 or something like that in a porsche turbo around the ring, he later stated that if the guys driving the GT-R did his time in the turbo, he would quit as a Porsche test driver hahaha

Well that's interesting and all, however a release date for GT5 has to be a fair way off yet, as a good deal of the 'features' for GT5 that K.Y said would be tested in Prologue still haven't appeared yet. So I'd imagine a fair sort of update must be coming very shortly for Prologue if they plan on releasing the next GT earlier than expected.
A concrete release date won't be set until a few days before it is released, as K.Y said it will be a suprise!:D:tup:
I love there style!

Nissan's test driver is a former F1 driver. I'm sure he could do it fairly easy.

Like what? Private rooms, I am highly doubting we will see them until full GT5 anyway.

To be honest I think GT5P is almost complete, they will add some content (few cars maybe a track and damage) depending on how long GT5 will be delayed.

We have been crap all info these days as KY said he is just going to suprise us now, even with the GT5 release, so we don't know whats going on until it a few days before happens. (KY adding pins to our voodoo dolls :p )

Well I would imagine they will have a few tweaks and enhancents to make once damage is introduced and starts testing. So that and weather effects??? I really hope they don't ditch that idea, what about day to night for endurance races? I think there is a bit to cover yet before release date...maybe they will hit us with a large update for Prologue which includes Damage and other features, test it once, then release the tweak update which would be GT5?
This is all just simple speculation, but K.Y did say that all the features would be tested.:odd:
Peace,

Weather effects and day/night changes would be a nice little feature to add into prologue. Hell, I would even take just a track at night...I just want to see what the cars will look like glorified at night in the game.

They never said there will be weather effects in the first place, online seems to be something they need testing the most (something that can't be relicated fully inhouse) and they have been. Damage, weather etc doesn't need a public huge scale test, they can do that within Sony like they have been for all the gran Turismo's upto now.

indeed viper,

Maybe they have let go of the hughe public tests for weather etc, so they can concentrate on the full game wich comes earlier then.(I hope)

but like you said, online need alot of testing for them wich they cannot do "indoor".
I do hope however for some new content in prologue.

Yes of course, his english wasn't very understandable and i am even worse, so probably i missunderstood him right??

Heh, probably. Unless this was the guy you spoke to...

Just think about this, less thing we have in prologue could means PD is working in GT5, so if we do not receive any aditional features menas that the full game is coming sooner than we expected as soon KY said in the interview.

I would think weather will at least be on the list of full game features. Day/Dusk/Dawn lighting on a virtual environment is really a matter of changing a few virtual light positions and intensities. Nighttime shouldn't be much more difficult either. As far as weather, well let's be honest, rain, I'm sure they'll at least include a few tracks with that option. e.g. FUJI and Tsukuba.
