OK, I am not a really techy person, so I don't even know where to start when creating a new app for an iPhone/iPod Touch/Android/iPad.
So, could somebody else on the forums create an app?

I know thats quite a bit to ask for, but it would do good for me as well as many other forum members.

Or is this not even possible?

If I had to guess, it's only going to happen on a PlayStation phone, or PSP type device.

My dad is a tech. rep / programmer for a large software company. He's getting a free playbook for writing software for Blackberry (JEALOUS). Dont know if he would dedicate a large amount of time to it seeing as it would be incredibly time consuming. But just to sweeten the pot with him... How much would people be willing to pay for an app like this? If I threw out some numbers he might feel more inclined to create one... I have an iPhone and iPad so sorry Droiders, if I was even able to talk him into it the first mobile OS would be iOS.

I haven't used the remote racing feature yet, haven't really had time, but can you not access it with your mobile Internet browser?

What I should do is post his email address so everyone on GTPlanet can spam his inbox asking for the app lol!

I can do it using my iPod touch, but sometimes it's relatively annoying loading up safari and all that.
It can take a while and the GT5 website isn't very mobile friendly.
For a price, I really would only pay a dollar at most.
I really don't like spending money on apps, but this may be an exception.

Problem with pricing is the audience who would actually buy the app. Firstly limited to Gran Turismo 5 owners, iDevice and Android owners, and people willing to spend a couple bucks on an app. And of course on top of that Apple or Google has to take their cut.

But ya I will bring it up this weekend when I see him.

In the mean time.. anyone on here who DOES have the knowledge to create an app... "I got 5 on it!"

Yeah, that's what I was thinking.
Maybe you could just pay him? :)

Not on my income lol. I'm on military benefits for school and my wife is a nurse, if I had the money... I would.

I use my iPhone 4, right through "Safari" stock on the phone from the factory and it works perfect.

theres a thread in the bspec forum, someone has some kind of app to autostart races.
