Hi all,

At my company we are currently experimenting with different remote support tools we can use. Currently we use RealVNC and Remote Desktop.

I am quite fond of LogMeIn and have been using it with some of our customers.

My boss asked me to look into GoToAssist which is currently free in the Beta testing phase. It looks very nice with a lovely GUI but I still prefer LogMeIn.

There are plenty of others out there, such as GoToMyPC, and I was wondering if any of you chaps have had any experience with them and could give me some feedback.

Regards

Dunc

I've only ever used LogMeIn and have never had any issues with it. Very simple to setup and use.

I've heard about the other few you've mentioned but never used them.

We use Chicken of the VNC. Don't know if thats just a Apple based application though.

We use gotomypc at work. Very easy to use, quick setup and I think we pay about £9 per month which includes unlimited support. I think there is a 30-day free trial available.

Altiris is really good

Timbuktu is also good aswell, one of the biggest IT firms that ive worked for uses Timbuktu

But depending on what you want to do and what OS you are using, Remote Services is really good.

PC anywhere is good.

Are you guys going to use VPN??? Citrix?
