Hi everyone, as GT5 comes closer to its worldwide release I was thinking about buying one of the two cockpit setups mentioned above. I do not know which one is the best from every aspect but I would like you to help me figure out which one is the best overall. Moreover, does Rennsport have that E-Motion system built-in...how does it work?

*For those who dont know Fanatec's Rennsport Cockpit is now 995 Euros or 1.295 USD.

Thanks

E-motion will cost extra of course. For the best non fullmotion cockpit look into nixims racecraft or polecat. More versatile and higher quality materials and expert markmanship. Hand built so every cockpit is more or less unique :)

Are the nixim units still available?

After a quick search on tinternet it seems their website isn't active anymore

www.nixim.com still works, though not the google links.

Seems a bit a steep price-tag on their products, though?

Not if you consider what you get for it. But surely Fanatec and Vision racer are competent cockpits as well and cheaper of course. Good enough for most I would believe but they lack flexibility.

If you want to use it for more then just racing the nixim is surely a much better cockpit. especially with the HOTAS addon. There is not a wheel or pedal set you cant mount on it and it work just as well for mouse/keyboard or joystick plus hotas or novint falcon or whatever combination you can think off.

The steel it´s made off you have to see to believe :)

I am moving to a new house in a couple of monts so I have created a room which I will use to store my cockpit. So I prefer Rennsport cockpit or Visionracer for the simple reason that they are cheaper and look better than nixims cockpits. Just racing is what I need the cockpits for so I think I am going to be ok without nixims cockpits. If anyone has tried one or another please share your thoughts.
