I know we're still in week 1 of release, but some of you out there have probably finished a season already. So heres a place to dicuss your contracts and team offerings. I'm curious about what rep level is needed to get the better teams to offer a contract.

I'm playing 50% races and long weekends so its going to take a while before I get through my first season. I'm kind of worried that I may get crap contracts for season 2. I'm playing on expert ai and having trouble keeping up in the Williams. I've had two 14th finishes and two 18th finishes. I'm still in level 1 reputation. Have only met a few objectives so far. Not sure how bad all this will affect next seasons contracts.

If anyone has figured some of this out please share. I'm too busy trying to keep up with the ai.

You've only done what, four races? The championship has nineteen. And you get five years to win a World Championship. Given that repeated play ensures success, you'll no doubt get better.

But it was probably a mistake to jump straight into the game with the AI set to expert and driving for the team that demands the most from you.

I also think that jumping right in with Williams was a tough choice in the end because their expectations are higher, even though I love their cars. :)

When I first booted up the career I was top ten in practice and quali sessions on the expert setting. Actually haven't qualified less than 12th yet. The ai dominates me midway to the end of the race. I usually lose a couple positions. If I have it on Pro or Hard setting(don't know what its called)all the sessions including races is not a challenge. So I thought I'd make myself work for it. Just seen post in another thread about setting springs to 11/11 and car has more grip and less tire wear.:odd: Maybe I'll try that.

I meet Williams quali expectations of at least 16th. Its the races, they want 13th. Sounds easy, but is much the opposite.

Yes, but it works equally well on circuits that would normally require lower settings, in addition to circuits where higher settings are better.

I'm on my 4th race in the first season in the Williams car. Racing on hard for the moment and will probably go to expert when I get into a car with KERS. Do you still get offered the seat of your rival when you beat them like in F1 2010? Hope so. I won at Melbourne and finished 11th and 2nd at the next two track. The AI is fast at Istanbul so that race should be fun 👍

in f12010 i used to make 20% races and finished season but was not so exciting. in f12011 i do short weekend but full distance races in career mode with Virgin team. first i do with amateur opponents, lets see how they doing, meanwhile i can learn the tracks , pit stops etc , and the next season would be intermediate opponents already and so goes.

I chosen lotus-renault much more pressure first race 19th lost 2 positions in the last lap.
HRT Sounds fun too.
