Replacing HD on PS3

I searched PS3 Hard Drives on their site.

You just need a basic 2.5" SATA HDD.

WD are the best bet as most of their blue's are quite and make very little heat.
 
We replaced our PS3's aged and malfunctioning Hitachi 5K500.B 250GB HDD with this, it's been working well for months now.

I pulled the HD, only to find it packed with dust.
I vacuum my PS3 fairly often, but it's been shelved for a few months
since I've been IRacing.
I got gophermods.com to replace the HD and do a full cleaning for $59.95.
So I shipped it off this morning.
 
hahah damn dust gets everywhere.. i got a fat ps3 with the sshd gt5 response load times so much better some games will not be affected but gt5 is so much better with the sshd
