Replay Camera Views

Maybe I'm spoiled with the great track camera replay views in F4, but I can't seem to get much more than tight views around the car in Horizon.
They're pretty much crap compared to F4.
Not only that, but Replay seems only available from a designated race. Am I missing something?

Replays are rather useless in this game, unfortunately. I don't like watching the close angles at all, I just use the game cameras to set up photos.
