Replays in cockpit mode?

I watched the video here, which appears to be captured form a game replay. I noticed he was able to show the cockpit view during the replay, I have not found a way to do this? how do you change to the cockpit view with the handlebars/gauges during a replay?

Hi, hit the x button when in tv style replay and it will goto just the road ahead view, then hit r1 for forward views, ie change to cockpit view, L1 is the camera looking back views.

cool, thanks. I had hit x before but didn't know there was more choices...
Hopefully in the future we'll be able to export video from the game and not just photos.

I would have liked to see the cockpit/gauges in photo mode when making photos. You can make photos from the cockpit mode, but the gauges/handlebars never come out in the photo....

thats a great trick...never knew that you could replay in cockpit view
