Everytime I try to use the report function, I get the "Internet Explorer cannot display this page" page after typing the reason into the text box and clicking the report button.

Is there something glaringly obvious that I am doing wrong?

Did you try it again? The report button has been buggy for a while now, and I've actually had it time out on me before. Maybe that's what happened.

I tried Chrome a while back but hate it. It wasn't any faster than IE which was my reason for trying it, so i'll just stick with what I know.

The report thing still won't work. Damn it, I wanted to mini-mod!

Which version of Internet Explorer are you using, Marina?

Submitting this page has always been really slow for me in ANY vBulletin 3.x forum, I'm not sure why. I use Firefox.

I had this problem awhile ago too. Not sure if it still happens though.

Yes, you're using Internet Explorer.
Well, honestly, this. See below for a rational explanation.

I also use Firefox, and have found that I have to wait for a fairly long time for it to submit the form. I would imagine that on a slower browser such as IE that it takes so long that the browser assumes something is wrong.

And one more thing, I personally would recommend switching to Chrome or Firefox, you'll find them much faster in general.

IE9, just made sure that i'm not missing any updates, etc.

Again, to those suggesting Chrome, when I tried it it wasn't any faster than IE is for me now. The speed is not the issue.

But I find Chrome and Firefox usually have a lot less bugs than IE. It wouldn't harm to try it.

I immediately noticed the extra speed when I switched from Firefox to Chrome. I couldn't imagine using IE.

Chrome is a bit faster than Firefox, and is simpler to use. However, I prefer Firefox because it's plenty fast and is more versatile than Chrome.

When I switched to Chrome there was a noticeable difference.

This turned to Chrome VS. IE thread. Marina are you sure the post what you are reporting arent deleted at the same time you are reporting. That happened to me once.

I just ran a test with IE9 and was able to complete the report without issue. The page did load for about 20 seconds, but even if you get an error, it's likely the reports were sent.

There's really nothing much I can do about this, but some changes are coming to the site within the next few months which may naturally resolve these issues.

Whenever trying to report someone on my 3GS, it always take a while to send the message. It always works eventually, but it's the only issue I can report on the entire forum. :p

I just assumed that it took a while, due to the fact that it was PMing every MOS. :)

It actually sends emails, not PMs and that is possibly the root of the problem, taking too long to connect to one of the moderators email hosts.

Thanks for taking the time. Like I said, it's not a huge deal as I very rarely need to use it.
