Reporting threads/posts

Mods/Admins,
I've got a few reports under my belt and would like to know what helps out the most when we type in our message to you. Is there a format you prefer or will a brief summary do fine? Also how much does this help you out when members legitimately submit reports? Just wondering, thanks!

While I personally am not a fan of going into a situation blind, I don't want a novel, either. A short, to the point reason that you're reporting a post/thread (something along the lines of "wrong section", "swear filter dodging", "duplicate thread", etc.) is sufficient. Much more than that isn't necessary as the report we receive links straight to the post in question so we'll figure it out.

To add to TB's comments, it is always helpful if you specifically cite exactly what part of the AUP/Guidelines you believe the reported post/user is in violation of.
