Required Tyres

Sorry I’m sure this has been asked before but regarding the required tyres. Say I need hards and mediums in the race, if I pit the end of the first lap to ditch the hards, does that count as a full lap completed, or do I need to go till the end of lap 2?

End of the first lap is fine. Start of the first lap (if you're far enough down the grid to not pass the pitlane under AI control) is not

Of course, why not? It is the last lap that you dont

Does it even let you pit then? I suppose you're either just doing a drive through then or get reset back on the track?
