Easy. They want to vent their problems, use the time to connect with the person they are complaining to. An answer, especially one they already could've figured out on their own in a short period of time is also a solution to their complaints. It's essentially telling them their irratating and giving them an answer to get them not to complain. That is about how it's seen.
