Resetting time trial times

Apolgies if this has been covered and/or is a noob Q (I've searched to no result), but is there a way to delete times in time trial mode?
E.g. I've got heaps of time for the F2007 for Suzuka, but only want to keep the top time on the leaderboard so i'm able to see times for other cars.

ello :) there's a delete time trial times section in the options somewhere, sorry i can't be more specific

i think it just deletes them en masse though, but maybe there's selectable, i don't know

have a try and let us know eh? 👍
 
Yeah it's at the bottom in the utilities.

I think you are right though. It deletes all of them.
 
Yeah, you fellas are right- Options, Utilities, reset times.
Wipes them all out.

But still didn't get around the problem of keeping a top time for an individual car i.e. being able to delete individual times.
Strange, seeing that you could in GT4. Probably just a feature left out of GT5:P.

Turning Autosave off doesn't do anything either- every time you post stays.

If I may be so bold, I'm going to hijack this thread. My question is on a very similar subject, and the question it was opened for has been answered, so...

On the subject of time trial times and other records such as points for drifting, does anyone else also feel disturbed by the fact that the times and scores are uploaded to the online tables automatically? I mean it's nice to have online features, but I like my privacy, and when I'm just playing around a little with some car on some track, I don't want my weak laptime or low drifting score to be uploaded automatically. I think there should be an option.

Thoughts?
 
I did not waned to create new topic for it, because you all might already know it , so I will post that in most similar topic.

There will be another update 15.04.2008 (I do not know if it considers only Japanese or Japanese and other versions). The thing is that after this update:

ALL TIME TRIAL RECORDS WILL BE DELETED AGAIN :(((

Sorry for caps lock but this really should not take place. If Polyphony plans to reset all time trials every simple update (Japanese page says that it will even not be some huge update) then doing your best in time trails is just pointless.

Indeed. I put all those countless hours in all those tracks and got 1st place times just to have them deleted a few weeks later? Its not right.
 
Just a quick one, are the online leader boards global or are they only for your region, ie Europe, Asia etc...?

Yep, and yes it will be reset in the PAL version also.
