Resident Evil 4 etc. to be PC'ed

Hi people,

Ubisoft have announced that Resident Evil 4 and some other games will be released for the PC. A statement from Ubisoft can be found here:

The article says that Ubisoft and Capcom placed a contract for distributing Resident Evil 4, Devil May Cry 3 etc. for the PC.

Awesome! I can't believe they're gonna resi 4 release it on PC too after it was originally gamecube exclusive, lol. Devil may cry 3 will be cool too.

I know Outbreak 1 and 2 had an online mode for up to 4 players 4005.

Pretty darn good, if you've dropped a couple thou on a PC.

I've played the hell out of the GC version. The only thing that could make it better is mouse/keyboard control. I might pick up the PC version if it has enough extra stuff.

I don't think that they will improve the graphics. I really don't know. Would be too much work.

A keyboard setup similar to splinter cell chaos theory would fit Resi 4 perfectly, in my opinion.

Do you play FPSes on the PC? Keyboard/mouse is very fast and accurate. If nothing else was changed you could mow down zombies in RE4 with little effort. I think the play difficulty could be easily restored by making the enemies a little faster/smarter/more aggressive though.

Maybe, but i don't expect they'll make any radical changes apart from making the graphics a bit better.

They could maintain the difficulty with little effort. If your enemies were sped up just a bit to match the faster mouse aiming it'd be fine. A more intense RE4 would be most welcome.

Yeah i still don't think it was violent enough, and also perhaps add a new weapon like a samurai sword or something.

I dunno about a sword, but i would like to be able to blast arms and legs off with a shot gun blast, the ability to block/ dodge and run and shoot at the same time.

Yes more realistic stuff like body parts coming off would be very cool, but i think a new weapon is a must. I suggest an AK, or perhaps an axe.
