Available on psn from September 21 2011.

I did not played when it was released on PS2/NGC. So it's time to catch up in HD :) how many of you waiting for RE4 in HD? One week after there will be available Resident Evil Veronica, also in HD
 
I might have to do this since I didnt enjoy re5 like I thought I would and re4 on the gc was nearly my favorite game ever and certainly on eof my favs on the gc, xbox, ps2 generation.

I'd like to get it as soon as it's formally launched for PS3 with improved graphics the Code Veronica going along a week later for publish as well... It was one of my most enjoyed video game I ever played, and I have a strong longing to catch it up as an enthusiastic Resident Evil fan. :lol:
 
I really enjoyed Resident Evil 4 on the Gamecube and Code Veronica on the Dreamcast and I'm a fan of the Resident Evil series. Unfortunately, I don't buy Capcom games anymore. Who knows, Capcom might decide to chop off the endings and offer them as DLC hahaha! :sly:

Maybe if Resident Evil Remake and Resident Evil Zero get the same treatment, I may reconsider, but that won't happen.

Resident E. Remake is kind of HD version for GC. But who knows, maybe we would see Remake and Zero. Time will tell. For now i just can't wait to jump into RE4 world. Never really liked RE5, even on-line co-op didn't help.
 
The only Resident Evil game I want is RE2 HD. For me RE2 is easily the best game in the series.

I was really fantastic continuation which was focusing heavy on building tension during entire game. First Resident didn't have that. Third Resident basically didn't exist. Didn't breathe anything new into series, boring puzzles shown that this part of RE brand was made strongly under pressure of making another R.E.

RE4 was something out of this world 👍 Playstation 2 received probably the most insane game out of entire library titles available for this console. The same thing was with NGC, RE4 along with RE:0 and Remake make Nintendo a console worth to have.
 
Great game my favorite game ever (excluding gt and pes series) i want to get them both but i don't like this digital releases ill hold out until they hopefully release a disc version with both re4 and code veronica on it like they have in japan.

RE4 had a different type of "tension" defined as what is required to make a spice for the entire Resident Evil series anticipated by every RE fans - no longer a fear of exploring inside a bizarre-looking building or your coworkers suddenly turning to a creature devouring human's flesh as a result of being infected by the contagious T-virus, but a fear of combatting against new types of creatures the protagonist haven't ever seen and a new threat of development of a new organic weapon.

Although RE4 didn't have much impact in making someone under control of the main antagonist - the initial plaga needed more time to control one's mind compared to that in RE5 and dispersive virus.
 
After 7 hours non stop during night time i can say it's great to get back in HD quality. I'm going to squeeze every inch of it's fun factor.

HD quality on my 55 ich sony LCD makes better then never before. I love it 👍 I still don't know if this is exactly 100% port from ps2 with Ada scenario and mercenaries. I would have to pull my self together and play another night to the end of first time. I'm playing slowly, gathering every gold / treasure / mixing herbs and selling them for quite large amount of cash :) So when i reach another session then with Machine Type Writer i could have some fun :)

Is that true? They say it's just upscaled game cube graphics and back drops look ugly.

Wouldn't surprise me of Crapcom.

I couldn't agree more with the bolded statement, however, RE4 is a fantastic game as well. I enjoyed it immensely.

It's reasonably lenghty, reasonably difficult, fun, and with lots to do. Great story too.

I will purchase it eventually once I have time to play. :)
 
So is this worth the buy for someone who still has RE4 and a gamecube. Is the graphics arent that hot I'll skip. Still havent had a proper play of re5, maybe I will do that instead.

Those are the reviews that stopped me from buying this today and the fact i already have a ps2 and a copy of Resi 4 stashed somewhere in the house
On the other hand my Code Veronica disc is too scratched to play so ill be buying that when it comes out next week, although i'm thinking that if Resi 4 looks ugly in the HD remake Code Veronica is gona look even worse surely?
 
RE4 looks better than Veronica, this is really ugly. So clear and so sterile like hospital. This is the best describe i can think of right now, hope you all get it.

Would i recommend buying RE4HD if he had ps2 + re copy. Well no! Only if you did not played Veronica, then Yes.
