Restart but keep licenses?

So, decided to complete all of the license tests before doing anything else (didn't feel right ignoring them), with the odd special event where necessary to increase level. I've won gold up to the iA license which I've yet to start but am slightly peeved because my 1st purchase was a kart... which I later won, is there any way to start a new profile but keep the licenses?
I'm guessing not but I was so close to buying a Yaris as an opener I feel like GT5's mocking me.
