Wouldn't it be nice if the used car dealership (if it comes back in GT7) would actually have a section for restoration-needed cars, some being in rough shape and stuff, and you have to do some restoring, from faded paint, some dents and scratches and rusty / chipped rims to a beautiful "new" car. Like let's say an old Mustang. Bad shape. Then you rebuild it and do some bodywork to restore it to its former glory. Would be kinda cool. A casual side project from just buying, tuning and racing.

I suggested "beaters" in the used car thread. This restoration is a good idea. Thing is, it might work more like the GT5 UCD. Lets say, wanting to restore a 250 GTO you bought for 500k Cr. It has rusted or damaged body panels. The straight body panels may be in GT Auto but, not available until 2 weeks. There may be steel wheels on it and the O.E. wire wheels not available until 1 week. You could fit GT Auto wire wheels on it but, that lowers the value if you were going to sell it.

Yeah probably should. Too lazy atm though @JKgo xD

@05XR8 sounds good to me :) and when overhauling the engine it should be more in detail contra how it is now. Take out pistons, valves, pushrods etc. and get new ones.
Would be cool if we could polish the ports as we could in the earlier games too.

For sure, if we can renew the chassis like today's game, we should be able to freshen up the engine off chassis.

I enjoyed the second hand sections of past GT's and combining it with wear and tear for cheap do-er-uppers would be fun.

I would be happy just to get a 250 GTO for 500k ;)
But in all seriousness one of the most disappointing bits of FH2 was the inability to restore barn finds yourself. This would make up for it :)
