The CanAm VRL Sportscar Challenge is our less formal, "fun" series.

These events are designed to fill the gaps between our principle, formal races, and as a way for non-league members to join us and get to know us.

Each event will take place on the Friday night following our main series events (every second Friday). They will feature a variety of cars, with each week being a different class of car on a different style of circuit. The room will be set for default settings. Damage will also be off, in order to ensure that everyone can finish the race and have an enjoyable evening.

Our planned event schedule is as follows:

Full rule set is still TBD as we need to wait until the game is in our hands ot see what will work for us and what won't. Suffice it to say that aside from perhaps a mandatory pit stop and slightly accelerated tire wear, they will be pretty simple.

This series is all about having fun and meeting new drivers.

No registration is required. This will be a "First in the room gets to race" style event. Individual event schedules will be as follows:
  • Room open - 10:00 PM EST (7:00 PM PST)
  • Qualifying - 20 Minutes
  • Warmup - 30 Minutes
  • Races - Timed (45 minutes)

We hope we get to see many of you join us for these events.

As always, more details will be available on our website at www.canamvrl.com

See you on track!

Are Tourings Cars, open or specific? Only Group A? Only TCR?

Honestly, that will probably be decided closer to the start. We want to try both and see which would be more appealing to the larger audience.

EDIT: I will need to verify with the guys that planned it, but I THINK it was meant to be TCR as they are the ones listed as "Touring Car" on the car list.

No problem. There are also "Vintage GT/Touring" in the car list on the Official PC2 website. TCR would make more sense though.

It is in fact TCR. Those are the ones listed as "Touring Cars" in the official car list.

That's cool. I will keep this in mind for sure, hopefully will be able to join in for a few races, since the times looks reasonable.

Will there be timed point to point rally racing, in the future? Such as Mille Miglia, Targa Tasmania? Just trying to pick your brain, because you all have a nicely organised meet up. Would be cool to have various vintages compete at point to point locations like Monaco, California, Nurb.

I'll never say never, but at the moment what you see is what you get.

We're just trying to get some initial schedules up first and then we will expand as we go.
