And you still managed to finish second? :o
Is it a glitch that the karts go backwards just as fast as forwards, or are you Chuck Norris?

lol no dude

Chuck Norris would have finished first:sly:
And no, I think it's not a glitch.

I saved the replay.

Still didn't figure out how to upload the replays directly to youtube but I think I'm gonna videotape it in HD:)

Here's how to export to YouTube :sly:!

1. On the My Home screen select the Replay Theatre (video camera icon)
2. Find your Gran Turismo replay video and select Export Save Data
3. Quit the Gran Turismo game and go to the PlayStation dashboard
4. Plug in a PC-formatted USB memory stick
5. Under the Game tab of the XMB select Save Data Utility (PS3TM)
6. Press Triangle to bring up the Options and select Copy.
7. Take your USB stick and put it in your computer.
8. Copy the file and upload your GT 5 replay to YouTube

👍

Thank you
But it doesn't work for me...It's an "Unsupported file" on youtube.

In Replay Theatre:

Then in Playstation Dashboard:

--> Export to USB.

Hmm, that sucks. 👎
Probably a patch will allow us to export directly to the internet.

EDIT: On your PC, could you have a look at the file extension (format) of the video?

Someone with a Windows? :nervous:

Does it make a difference?

You just can watch replays in the game and nowhere else. Don't lie to yourself.

EDIT: Uploading the HD File I've videotaped

It's over 400 MB :ouch: I'm gonna post it here when it's finished.

I'm still waiting for my copy, so I don't know whether its possible. But apparently not if its an unknown extension :guilty:.
Hopefully PD decide to release a real export feature in a future patch; that would be really nice. 👍

Be sure to post it here, I don't want to miss that :sly:!

Unless I am mistaken that exported file is the replay info not a vide... it's only a few KB right? Any actual video would be many MBs.

What that exported file is is essentially a bunch of instructions so the game can recreate the race using the game engine, not play it back via a video player.

You're right; I didn't think about that :dunce:...

It's 2 MB...

Still it's definately not a normal video file. You can't do nothing with it.

Yeah I've seen that one too, but he probably raced on easy level, whereas you raced online, with other real people who's reactions I'd love to see! :dopey:

He was a what? :sly:

he was a ing? He was a challenge?

yeah... karting is sooo nice!!
just a hint for you how don't know yet: YOU CAN CHANGE THE NUMERB ON THE KART... ;-)

In the pictures on page one all are driving with no.1 ....LOL

Just checked the video, awesome! 👍

I'd love to see the first corner from another angle though, as I just can't work out what on earth happened there; you started out first, went off track and drove back on, in the meantime other racers went in front, one hit into you while you were going backwards making you go forward again, you seem to be behind the pack, the camera angle changes to a point where you can't see anything and suddenly out of nowhere you appear to be in front of the pack (with the exception of the one up front).

Yeah but it just look like that. I think some of the other players weren't fair/careful drivers anyway. Alot of things happened in this race. 3 Karts were ahead of me after the first corner.
-0:17 the white Kart is battling for his position, then spins out.I just escape the collision.
-0:26 I pass the red Kart
-1:06 The first placed driver went off the track. I fight for the pole position for the rest of the race but the other player is very skilled so I finish second.

It was a good race 👍

Yep! Hopefully you have some more interesting races like these, for example an online race with Daimler Motor Carriages! :yuck:

Your telling me you can save replays from online races? Oh my! So happy, I am sure someone will make some PC software to convert the exported replays into avi files or something in the future.

That exported file is clearly replay data (not a video). Although I haven't tested it, there is an import button in replay theater. I'm betting if you posted that file online we could copy it on to our PS3s, import it into GT5, and watch it. Considering how large HD video gets that's actually a really good idea. Hopefully we get video export later though.
