Revert to 2.11? Can't save to USB, Game won't load

Here's what I did.

Deleted game data utility.
Put in GT5. Denied 2.12.
Screen just goes black.


I also tried:
Backed up game save.
Deleted both save and game data.
Installed GT5 (denied 2.12)
Started game fresh.
But now I cant back up Save Game to USB. Other games back up fine.

HALP.

Thats weird 2.12 should still save to usb, even on 4.41 but you have 2 files, 1 is the save data the other is the "backup" the backup will not transfer to usb, only the save game.
 
It wasn't the backup. The 2.12 Save Game saved fine. It's the NEW Save Game (not 2.12) after the fresh re-install that wouldn't transfer.

When I accept the 2.12, it's 608MB. Is that a different patch? I thought 2.12 was tiny.
 
you have to install all the update and stop at 2.11

I think 608mb is the first update, you need to install that and all the updates except for the last. I think its 23 of 24 or something like that

So when it asks to install 2.12, say YES, then monitor the progress, stopping it at the last update.
 
Part of me was thinking that was the issue. Awesome. I'll try that tonight. Thanks!
