WARNING - do not see this film if you are dumb or in a tired/lazy mood! You will get very confused.

I have been waiting for this for along time. Well basically since Snatch came out. I wanted to see a Guy Ritchie film at the cinema. In a way its a shame, as this is nothing like his previous work (except for in style). But this is a truelly brilliant film none-the-less.

Now i know what your thinking, it got bad reviews didnt it. Yes, but all of them were wining on about how confusing/complicated/complex it is. THATS GOOD! films are made like this anymore. Its like Fight Club or Saw, its an intellegent film. The best term to discribe it is a "Mind ****". Like the above mensioned films, but times 10. The only thing i can think of is that all film "critics" are thick as pig ****. I understood it & i ain't that bright!

The plot is hard to describe. Jake (Jason Statham) is the central character, & you go on his story of slef struggle, trying to work out the games of the con. Who is being conned, is it him, is he conning them etc. Its hard to get into detail without ruining things, but i will say this. Jason, Ray (liotta) & Andre (3000) are brilliant. But the assassin guy steels the scenes he is in.

I mensioned the words "mind ****" earlier, which this film truely is, its made to confuse and swing you in directions that you didnt think it was going. It's designed to mess with your head & make you question everything. Oh and there is a brilliant twist toward the end that i didn't see coming, but i think that was mainly because i was truelly engrossed in the film.

If your looking for something to test your brain, or just something different please go and see this. It's hard going, but a blindingly good film.

8/10
