A legendary car for a legendary circuit…

150KM, 31 Laps with the Lola T280 at the 2006 GT Layout of Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari di Imola. This challenging circuit east of Bologna was originally named Autodromo Dino Ferrari – named after Enzo Ferrari’s son who died of illness at the age of 24. This is where famously, in 1994, the last deaths in F1 occurred. The layout was changed, safety concerns addressed and the track is used today for sports cars, motorcycle and endurance racing.

the Lola T280 is powered by the legendary 3.0L V8 Ford Cosworth DFV engine, churning out 450 BHP and weighing in at a feather light 735KG! This legendary car ran in endurance races from 72-75, and in the 72 LeMans 24H race, claimed the life of Jo Bonnier when he crashed with a Ferrari and went airborne into the trees. This car was difficult to drive and unpredictable, finding moderate success in sports car racing.

Looks great but in the U.S. that's a Monday at 1 PM central time, where many people will be at work. In the future would it be possible to have races on Sunday or Saturday?
 
Yeah I know it's a problem. I've put on races at US-friendly times and I never get enough people for a race, so I put on races at EU-Friendly times now. Saturdays & Sundays are pretty packed for SRP already.

I've been trying forever to get a league or club together on Monday nights (US nights) but no luck.

Ok. Too bad more U.S. folks don't race this. Well, maybe if my schedule allows I can race this season. Done iRacing but not RF2. I like RF2 much better.
 
If I could scare up enough drivers I'd put on races at US-friendly times, but it seems that anything that is not iRacing will not attract drivers in the US. There is a Vette race coming up on March 15- but that is a Friday and at the same time of day.

On Monday nights there are a couple of pubbies that have a regular group that drive. Usually I see the rooms start to fill around 9 or 10 EDT.

A friend and I are talking about getting a regular Monday night game together. We just need to decide on what cars to run.

After talking to a couple friends we have it narrowed down to senna 88, lola and meganes. Once the GP79 mod is finished we can do a season of those possibly too. If anyone wants in, let me know.
