rFactor, GP4 or GTR2?

As some of you may have heard, I'm getting a new laptop. Specs are quite shabby, Dual Core 2 1.83 Ghz, 1024 Mb of RAM, enough on the HD and 256 Mb on the graphics card so I think I'm pretty good for the latest games.

My question however, which of these three will give me most for my money? I'm looking for a game with a lot of possibilities, many modes, lots of simulation (damage, night races, whatever) and the ability to keep me interested in the game for a looooong while.


Any suggestions?

Absolutely, RFactor is probably the best value for money by a long shot, the mod community has lapped that game up. LFS is the more realistic game though, avoid GTR2 if not for any reason other than you can effectively download it for free as a mod in RFactor.
 
It depends:

rFactor if you want variety and a reasonable online experiance.
GTR2: If you solely want GT style racing with 24 hour racing and a large variety of championships
GP4 if you want brilliant, fun and rewarding F1 gaming with up to date seasons. (check out the thread, screenshots, videos and info aplenty)

However, the enormous Le Mans fan I am: Are there any of these games that have a mod or whatever that makes it possible to race a ALMS or 24 h Le Mans race?
 
GTR2 has plentry of mods that you can combine to have a le mans 24 hour, or a nordschleiefe 24 hour, spa 24 hour, any 24 hour race:D.
 
What about the LMP cars? :D


What I was looking for first was a Le Mans game but there is no decent Le Mans on Pc as far as I know...

Lots and lots of Audi R8s and a healthy selection of Lolas. AFAIK thats more than what rfactor has..

Have a look through there at the mods, enough to keep anyone going until the first release of a full on LMP mod;) which wont be far away.
