Why doesn't the toolbar at the top have a section allowing us to change the colour of our text? Having to find the correct code and pasting it in the correct place each time is unnecessarily complicated. Adding this feature would make a lot of stuff so much easier to do.

Yeah, there is no text color toolbar to discourage people from using too many colors in their posts. Of course, the color tags can still be used for those who really want to use color in messages where formatting is important.

Note that unless you want to use a very specific color, you don't have to look up any hex codes. Just type the name of the color and it will work. For example:

[COLOR=RED]This text is red.[/COLOR]

...results in...

This text is red.

You can find a list of all HTML color names here.

How is everyone get hyperlinks in their signatures?
Every time I put in the HTML code it doesn't work.

<a href="url">link text</a>

You can't use HTML in messages or signatures here. You have to use the same "BB Code" formatting that you use in posts, or use the formatting buttons available in the signature editor (highlight the text you want to link, click the chain/link button, and paste the URL you want it to go to).

You can learn more about BB Code here.

Specifically, you'd type this out to create a link:

[url="url"]link text[/url]

Thanks. It's been awhile since I've used html code or BB code.
