I have to tell you, I am honestly humbled by the times these people are posting online. I am no where near the racer they are, the TOP HUNDRED players, all posted times that are seriously unfathomable to me.

I even downloaded the number 1 time's Ghost, and holy smokes, this racer is on fire. Seriously you all, you have some SERIOUS racers out there. I am ranked somewhere in the low 3000's, HAHAHA, and was just flabbergasted by the #1 Ghost lap.

Just in awe to see someone post a lap like that, 1:04. and change!?? And the rest are 1:05's! I cry uncle already.

Hey man, you're already ahead of the game in the "keeping humble" department. It's all about seat time, really. Practice practice practice. There was a time when Michael Schumacher, Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods all sucked in their sports. Hard work is what made them better. You'll get there. I suggest going to your local indoor gokart track and doing as many laps as you can - the skill set you will learn there is transferable to any form of motorsport.

Cheers:tup:

lol practice practice. Im 16th overall in my region and im about to get serious and get on a wheel for round 2. Most of which ppl are in the top 50 comes down to natural ability and knowing how to control a car. Something that can only be practiced over and over

Thank you for the kind words and wisdom. I suspect my best of 1:08 is due more to the feel of the car through the joystick, I do hope a good wheel will provide better feedback.

But I wholeheartedly agree, practice, practice, practice and maybe I too can be seen at Carnegie Hall with the rest of 'em out there.
👍

A wheel will likely knock ~2 seconds off your time once you're up to speed with using it.

I seriously got a dose of reality when they did this for the rest of the world. I thought right this is my game, top 10 here I come, bought the wheel and played it 2-3 hours a day. And I was still 2 seconds off pace when it closed. But I did learn an incredible amount from doing it. I'd never been a short shifter before, always thought the power band came first but when I watched the replays and saw the guys taking corners in 4th I was doing in 2nd it was a revelation.

Yes, it does take loads of Practice ...along with frustration, lol.

Ex, Cape Ring ...at the time, the fastest I did was a 2:53, didn't think I could do any better.

Decided to watch people's replays, saw what they did different, practiced, now I have a 2:48 ...and I know I can be quicker!!

Just keep telling yourself "Don't Give Up!" ...we all have a fair chance at this, just some have had more experience than others.
