I receive questions about my rig build so I thought a dedicated thread would be fun.

After deciding to go PC based for a more realistic experience I also wanted something close to VR but without the headset. So a plan for more immersion and finishing things all fancy like took form.

I'm still in construction mode so it's in the middle of the room for now so pics might be messy.

As of today.

Chassis is based on a P1X and triple monitor stand. Everything has been bastardized to create geometry as close to real world as possible and be a complete assembly I can slide into place.

Gear.

Simucube Pro
Ascher racing button box
HV sprints
HV shifter
Cobra Suzuka Pro
AOC 32 inch monitors

With geometry sorted it's time to start making it pretty.

Using some MDF, Alcantara, and trusty 3M super 77 adhesive I'm off and running.

7 inch display, stream decks, and ignition start switch.

Moving on to closeout the wheel base before air ducting and other bits.

At first I didn't want to use CF wrap but it turned out better than expected. Plus it breaks things up visually which is nice.

It's been alot of tedious work but considering how much I spend in it I really wanted something finished well and comfortable.

I still have lots left to do so I'll update as I go and hope some of my idea inspire anyone looking for more immersion.

On the to do list.

Roof closeout and bezel free kit
Rear support for window nets
Partial roll cage
Close out pedal area
Hue Play lighting
Transducers
Another display and required switches
Cooling system
