The only bit Famine is out on is the aspect ratio, the example he used would not have a height of 50mm, the 50 on a 205/50 is the % of width as height, known as the aspect ratio.

205 x 50% = 102.5mm

I'm drunk... :D

I'd go out and measure my tyres... But I'm drunk... :D

If he can type like that, while drunk, no one has an excuse to do worse than that.

I've read some of my drunken posts. The grammar is there, but the content isn't.

You're not drunk. You're an alien in disguise. The real Famine is never wrong. About anything. Tell your alien leaders that we see through your little rouse and we want the real Famine back :D And Elvis too.

No, but I AM jetlagged - bloody putting the clocks forward malarky. Taking an hour of my sleep. Swine.

Elvis, unfortunately, has just left the building. I've got the Big Bopper here though, if he's any use?

just adding, i know duke meantioned what the numbers and letter meant, but the number "89" on the tyre refers to load rating how much weight the tyre is rated at, i didnt see duke or anyone else meantion that, if they did i apologize

Alright guys, I've come down to two choices and I need an opinion. Is the weight difference worth the huge price difference?

Kazera KZ-V
size: 16x7
cost: $119 each
wheel offset: +45mm
weight: 16.2lbs

***OR***

O.Z. Racing Superleggera
size: 16x7
cost: $239 each
wheel offset: +37mm
weight: 14.6lbs

Which one is the right offest for your car? 8mm is about 3/8", which can make a difference, particularly if you're going wider than stock. Go to www.tirerack.com and see what they say is right for the car.

If you want reasonable weight in a decently priced, attractive wheel, look into Kosei K-1s.

According to tiretrack, both of these rims fit on my car. I'm looking for the right offset for my car right now. but i was curious as to whether or not the weight difference is worth the cost difference of the two.

I wouldn't think so, unless you're into serious competition... It's only about 8 pounds total. Even unsprung that only equates to ~25 lbs. I wouldn't sweat that difference. Mind you, I'd pay $480 to take ~25 lbs off the driver of my car for good...
