I'm sad to say that after a crash in the superstock race in the Northwest 200 BMW rider Simon Andrews has passed away.

Needless to say, I'm sure we're all thinking of him and his family at this horrible time, RIP.
 
I've been following it for the past few days, praying for the best. I've seen the crash, and I find it a miracle he was able to keep fighting after that.

Rest in peace.
 
Seen that crash on live leak, I otught he died on the act, but now I realized that he fought for his life...

I only saw one shot of the crash, pretty shocking considering how fast they seem to be going there.

Very sad.
 
He was such a fighter in his career, coming back from a big crash at Snetterton in 2011, a big one at the TT in 2012 and then another big one at LeMans last year. Seems like his luck ran out.

Devastatingly sad news. I've followed Simon since the start of BSB this year and his outright speed as well as sheer determination were unrivalled.

Goodbye Simon and Godspeed.
