I got one of their regular emails today and it linked to the subscription page.

An annual subscription is only $12. That's nuts! Thought I'd share - some of you may be interested. The articles are usually ok and the photography is usually pretty good. It's also a good referance for stats.

Magazines today make their money from advertisments. The more subscribers a magazine has, the more advertisement money they get.
 
My subscription to C/D is between $9.95–$12.95 per year ($12.95 is the absolute highest I've ever paid).
 
I got Motor Trend for $18/24 months.
