Someone tell me if I am in trouble...
I want to do the Roadster Endurance, and I do have a Miata LS (the best of the three), but I can't use it because I have already made upgrades to it which can't be taken off. The regular Miata is just too damn slow to beat the LS in the endurance race. Is there anywhere else to win a new Miata LS. If I need to, I can also start a new game on a new card and beat the B license all gold again and then trade cars, right? I don't want to do that though...is there any other way? Or do you think I can beat it with the regular Miata?

I think it is possible to accomplish in any of the Miatas.

At the start of the race, you will think you're not going to win, because the other cars will pull away a little bit, but they pit about every 3 laps, no joke.

So you'll pass them up, and by the end of the race, you should enjoy about a 1 lap lead on the second place car. Challenge yourself in another Miata! :)

Good luck. It's actually the most evenly matched endurance race in the game. Lots of fun.

ZZII:

You can win it in a regular Miata. Make sure that you pick out Super slick tires, and give the car an oil change before starting the race. You'll start in last place, and slowly make your way up to the lead. Also one thing to help in this race, is dropping the ASM (settings) to Zero and setting the TCS at 1 or 0. This will help in cornering.

There will be one Miata, that simply smokes away from teh pack. Don't worry about him, as he's running super soft tires, and will pit every third lap. The others will pit on a more regular 6-10 lap schedule.

As long as you drive smooth, and don't blow any corners too badly, you should do fine.

Two key factors: Hit the brakes earlier than you think you need to and patience is what wins this race.

Finally, you should be able to lap a few of the competition.

Welcome to GTPlanet
All you need are the superslick tires and the race is over...One of the miatas will leave you all at the beginnig of the race but he pits alot and you can do 20 laps on one set of tires...

Welcome ZZII!

They're right:up:, super-slicks, pit once, and you're in.

I do hope you have the patience to let the race develop. It really gives you insight into pit strategies that you can use in later races as well.💡

Good luck to you, and may you not have to run this thing seven times to get the F1 car like I did! :banghead:

I would add to this, but everyone has already covered the important stuff.
You just need to shoot for about 1:42-1:45 laps and you will be just fine.

Good point Gil!

Until now, no one mentioned what I found to be one of the most important benchmarks for this race. Not only that, but trying for the best lap every lap sure makes the 40 go by a lot faster.

i know what u mean...40 laps is a lot in an underpowerd car. so the concensus seems to be super-slicks and a lot of patience...i'll give it a go...thanks

Actually, you wont need that much patience ;).

At the beginning, the first car will open a huge lead (15 seconds maybe??) and during the first three laps, you'll start to sweat, but then he pits, you pass him, and life is good

good luck.

Congratulations! That is pretty lucky! :D

Close race though (1:16!). I bet you had fun though... The challenging races are always more fun. You can have much more satisfaction out of victory! :p :)

THe closest Roadster Enduro i've ever race was with a 117hp MX-5(J) I beat the MX-5 1.8i by 0.000 seconds. I overtook him on his last pitstop and was catching me for the entire final lap, he got a slipstream after the final chicane. Obviously it wasn't QUITE enough.

Phew!

The downside was that the replay finished 20 seconds before the finish on the final lap.
ARGHHHHHH! 🤬

That would've been a replay I would've never deleted. :)

Good to read this...I have been leary about starting this endurance but it sounds like the key is the super-slicks! Thanks for the advice....Time to brew some coffee and run the Miata

True, the mx-5 is a rather good standardish car or starting car. Will go good in the race.
