Story

Robert - Joey's younger brother - was killed in a practice lap for the North West 200, the second biggest motorbike road race after, and warm-up event for, the Isle of Man TT. Seemingly his bike seized up at 160mph, he was flipped over the handlebars and collected by the rider behind him (who sustained injuries including a broken leg and concussion).

Like with his brother, it's probably some consolation that he died doing something he obviously loved.

Rest in peace, R. Dunlop, the second of his contingent to depart. TheCracker summed it up very nicely with his post.

The format of the coverage of his death surprised me; not many articles would describe so much about the one incident.

Gah. The local works bike nutters have gone for a jaunt over to watch the NW200. That's a hell of a shame.
