The rolling start is totally unfair with the player.... all the cars go flat as soon as they cross the line, but when I get to cross the line, the leader is already a minute ahead of me, and, knowing that gt6 loves to put some overpowered cars on our road, its impossible for you to catch them ahead in the race. For example: 24 minute nurb. with a GT3 car (as in real life), its impossible to compete against a GT by citroen or a BMW McLaren F1 with a GT3 class car..... they just fly away while I have not even started... It should be like when the green flag is out, all the cars can go flat..... or even a static start would be nice....

On the 24 nurb, use a Furai or LCC Rocket, they are much more nimble and don't have to pit as much. If you are going for realism, the GT3 cars are harder, but not impossible, if anything pit at the last second, and don't switch to rain tires, as they are kinda broken.

Standing starts would be kind of overpowered, I mean on some races you can shoot to first place by the first corner. On the enduro races, you can easily make up for the lost ground because you will outbrake, outturn, and are that much better than the AI, plus they do slow down to let you catch up.

Though the rolling start isn't an accurate one, with Nascar races and Indy 500s, once the safety car leaves everyone can take off at the same time, whereas in GT, its more of like one at a time take off, so your stuck several seconds behind.

I had a feeling all races would be like this. PD ingrained it into us with all the Seasonals from GT5. The gaps between the cars is what gets me. The lead car is a half mile ahead by the time I get rolling.

GT uses rolling starts because the majority of GT races in real life have rolling starts. But it should be 2x2 not single file.

People obviously have different skill levels, my friend struggles to beat the AI whereas I found them quite easy. What I don't get is why they put a difficulty slider into arcade but not career...

In career you need only get Bronze to advance. It is very easy to get third place in every race because only the first two cars really take off and stretch out the lead. The difference between getting Bronze and getting Gold is kind of the difficulty slider.

i hate the rolling starts when its 2X2 and when the green lights goes we all go its not so bad but the single file one is utter crap

I know that most of the races in real life do rolling starts... But it is also known that when there is a green flag everyone can go flat.... not just the cars that cross the line, that's way too unfair....... And it's a matter of luck, sometimes you race leveled cars, and sometimes you get ****ed with a car that you will never be able to catch even if you were Ayrton Senna......

The sad thing is PD have 15 years experience in making racing sim and have not learned anything and do not listen to what racing sim fans want PD only go for the easy money an make a game for loosers that can´t race and don't want to use the time to to learn how to. OP stop whining and learn to race.

What a complete and utter load of crap.

Still after all these years, rolling starts in the game, isnt, what they are in real life. Its a shame. Plus, i found few times when i get to the line the car comes of power slightly.

I miss the stationary starts... The rolling starts feel like a cheap way to get the AI a head start to make the races seem "harder".
