i redefined race route and now i inputed possible layouts... think it deserves thread... (maybe we got another route that is 90% correct...)

based on the scenery i think it will go round colloseum...

RED means that is 100% correct
other color are possible layouts... (i think there is no more possible results)

Lets work together to define it even more...

blue color is connected with and going on old track.

I think it's this. If you look at the video, it's shows a vertical background thing on the southern road on the Orange line on your diagram, so it couldn't have a road there. The same applies for the right side of the course, the line is somewhere east after the Colloseum so the course couldn't go any more east than that. As for the green stalk, the area around that (the remains) doesn't seem too detailed from the video, and looking on street view isn't really that exciting either. I would have suggested a possible river section, however this couldn't work because the southern vertical line thing crosses this river at this point so it wouldn't really make sense.

Hope I helped!

It would make sense if it did went past both the Colosseum and the Circus Maximus.

But here is another possibility: Old Rome Grand Prix Circuit (from the 1940s)

How awesome would it be if Kaz and company included some of these roads in their version? :)

thank you for that explaining... now i see that we eliminated one part of orange line... we're making progress...!

sorry but i cant see where colosseum is... we need couple of italians here on this thread... hahaha

This one didn't go past the Colosseum, but it did go past the Circus Maximus (above turn 1 and 2). Just curious if some parts of it are used.

It'll probably look like GT2's Rome Circuit.

Nice. Maybe we can race through the Coliseum, though. Fight some gladiators too :p

that would be a great track for all the american muscle cars. Nothing but straights with the occasional slight bend.

Sorry guys but actually there is no any hold up with orange line after all...
it is all ok and it remains possible outcome... however i found another line but it is stretched up a bit... Well my imagination... This new line is similar to citta di aria but probably wont be in game because we already have citta di aria which is btw italian! Be free to shae your thoughts... every line is still possible...!!!

hehehe... maybe you didnt notice that track is only 3500m long and it has 2 corners with 180 degrees and 1 with 150 degrees... cheers!

I noticed the hairpins, yes. Doesn't change what I said. Take the straights up to 160mph, slam on the brakes, take the hairpins at 15-20mph. Rinse and repeat.

Wouldnt work for a real city racetrack, way too narrow, although it would be cool for something equal to Citta di Aria/Costa di Amalfi.

it is similar to citta di aria with its width... lets say possible... for city tracks.

Some thoughts from the GoW III trailer thread: Compares the old circuit to the locations seen in the new trailer.

Personally, I think the new variant will be like this pic, starting from the red section to the "East" (the section immediately after start/finish straight of the "old" circuit), then onto the yellow before dog-legging via the green section and onto the orange, black, back to red.

EDIT: Like this! Shows what the possible layouts may be...?

I guess that the pitlane would be either the rest of the green or at the circus maximus. If that layout is to be in the game.

That layout resembles much like Clubman Stage R5

i feel a little dumb for not knowing this, but is the Circus Maximus the big tan rectangle next to the yellow line?
