Have you ever heard about The SuperSwede?
No?
Ok, let me tell you of one of the best and one of the absolute fastest F1 drivers of all time!
Ronnie was born in Örebro in Sweden in february 14th 1944, he started to ride gocart and won and moved up in the classes.
Once he got to F1 in 1970 he began to join the topclass of the drivers.
Alredy in his second season he came 2nd in the drivers champion.
He made his real breakthrough in Monaco 1971 when he drove a March, he was in second and started to hunt Jackie Stewart for first place.
Ronnie was only tenths of a second all the race.
When they finnished Jackie was so tired so he couldn't get out of the car on his own.
At the podium Jackie had a rag to wipe his droling mouth.
Jackie said: that man is going to be world champion many times!
Ronnie was know for his drivingstyle that was like no other, he could drive the car with drift faster than the other drove ''normal''.
He was a master at rain, he hunted the other drivers to the limit so they couldn't stay on track.
Ronnie drove for Lotus in their legendary Lotus 72 in 1973 and 1974 as he claimed many victories.

Ronnie drove the F1 cars like a rallycar!
At a test for Lotus he had a reporter with him, it had been rain all day, but Ronnies laptimes was really good, so the reporter said to the engineer: how can he make such good laptimes at a wet track?
He answered: don't you understand that the back of the track have to be dry to make these laptimes?
At the way back to the hotel he asked Ronnie how the back of the track could be dry.
Dry? Ronnie said.
There was wather all over the place!

You see what a great driver he was!

In 1976 he drove for March, but after a victory he quit the team becauce he said the car was undriveable!
They took in an other driver, but after first practice he said: the car is undriveable, how the man could even get it around a whole race is increadable!

Ronnie was the one who taught Nikki Lauda to drive!
Yes he was!
When Nikki first joined F1 he was always last!
But Ronnie taught him and Nikki listned and for every race he became better and better!
Today Nikki has 3 world titles in F1!

Ronnie rejoined Lotus for 1978 as their ''Second driver'' after Mario Andretti.
Ronnie won several races but got many teamorders to let Mario past!
Ronnie was almost always the second driver for the team and had to let the teammate past!

Ronnie was known as the king of Monza and Monaco as he claimed several wins!

At Monza 1978 disaster struck!
At the start crashed Ricardo Patrese and James Hunt and James flew into Ronnie.
Ronnies car caught fire, James came running and helped him out!
Ronnie had fractures on both legs and some burnmarkes, but waved to the adience!
At the hospital in Italy was it some complications after the operation and bone liquids got into the blood and into the lungs.
Ronnie choked to death!

Ronnie died at september 11th 1978.

The crash was caused of Ricardo Patrese, and YES it was his fault even though he was charged not guilty!
Just watch the replay and listen or ask the other drivers!
Patrese should never been on a racetrack!
He was a dangerous driver!

Ronnie was a driver who everyone liked and his best friends Nikki Lauda and James Hunt got him suspended from F1 for some races!

Ronnie came 2nd in the championship in 1978 but could have won!
Everyone including the world champion Mario Andretti knew if Ronnie had no teamorders he would win!
After a lifetime of being a seconddriver and have bad cars, Ronnie never could show his true potencial!

He is the best and fastest driver who never won the world championship!

Even today almost 40 years after the crash people got posters and flags and such at Monza and other races!
There have never been a driver who drove like Ronnie did!
He is a legend who always will have fans all over the world!

Even George Harrison from Beatles was a fan and made him a tribute song!
Here it is, listen!
And it's true, he was faster then everyone!
He's a master of going faster!

Ronnie is one of the best drivers ever and have to have a tribute in GT!

If one is into motorsport and even the slightest bit interested in it's history
one already knows about Peterson. He doesn't need looking up.

By the way I visited his memorial statue in his hometown of Örebro a few years
ago. A very nice looking statue of Ronnie sitting on his Lotus.
Shameful where the town council chose to place it though.

Instead of a park or some peaceful surrounding they had it right next
to a gas station and a busy intersection with houses being built on
the other side of the street. :embarrassed:

True!
But not everyone is into racing! :(
I've been there my self and at his museum there wich is in Denmark now I think!
A shame they had to close it in his hometown! :(
Indeed a good driver!
One of the best! :)

A tribute like the Ayrton Senna tribute!
Do you not think you should have said that then?

Oh, and Petrese was cleared of any blame, and Faster was not written specifically about Peterson.

Yes it was, and READ again what I wrote!
I DON'T CARE!
HE IS GUILTY!
Just watch the replay and ask the other drivers who where there on the track!
Why do you think they got him suspended???
Niki Lauda and Clay Reggazoni and many others said, if that guy is on the track, we're not!
That guy should never got into motorsport, he's always been dangerous!

Oh, and Petrese was cleared of any blame, and Faster was not written specifically about Peterson.
Im not wrighting this to make you mad, but..
Out of pure chance, I found this on the net.
You said that it was not written to Ronnie ayy?
Well... Let's ask Mr. Harrison himself boy!

And please, if you don't know what you're talking about, please don't open your mouth to tell someone who knows what he is talking about that it's wrong!
Have a good day sir!
Im out!

It would seem that he disagrees with his own sleeve notes.

I'm not saying it wasn't written about Ronnie, but that it was not just him.

I'm not saying it wasn't written about Ronnie, but that it was not just him.
It is true that the song is a tribute to both the Formula one circus and Ronnie.
But, even if he doesn't say neither Ronnie or Peterson in the song, the song is about his life in every detail.
And he says in the video, and I know for a fact, that it is the story of Ronnies life.

Once again I'm not trying to make you mad or anything, I just proofing my point! :)
