I'm creating this thread as a record for myself as much as anything, however if I'm going to log all my tweaks etc then why not share them with all you good people?

For now I will be concentrating on 500 PP with Sports Hard tyres, as I venture out into the world of on-line racing.

Syracuse - Night_2.jpg

Feel free to try the cars I post, and more importantly feel free to comment or offer feedback on them.
Note I use a G27 wheel with brake mod, so you may or may not need to make adjustments if you use a DS3 - i find that lowering the steering sensitivity on the controller helps.

It's not a bad little car, very loose handling, very fun.
There are faster cars out there, but this is surprisingly competitive on the short twisties like London, Brands Indy, Autumn Ring etc..

She's a blast to drive, and quick too; I got a faster lap out of her than my benchmark BMW 135i tune found on this forum on both Apricot Hill and Deep Forest.

Add salt and pepper to taste...

The pic in the OP makes my head hurt.

I highly suggest people try the 512 BB. I tested this tune out and it handles very good, this tune cracked a whip on the beast and tamed it. If there was a tuning event it could enter it would probably rank pretty high up there. My only suggestion is to re examine the the gear ratios, they were the only part of the tune I found needs some more work. I would suggest to use ABS-1 with the set up and everything else turned off.

This really is quick and easy to drive, great grip, even with sports hards, just seems to want more and more, the hardest when tuning this little rocket was trying to find it's limits.
I haven't spent too much time tuning it as it didn't seem to need it; this is the fastest thing I have driven at this PP and tire level away from the obvious cheat cars like the GSX-R.

Haha yes you're right about the pic at the top - I think it's because it looks kind of squashed? I'll find a better one that doesn't feel like it's trying to compress your head!

Thanks for the feedback on the Ferrari, glad you liked it! With regards to the gearbox, it seemed ok for me, maybe it was my instructions on how to set it up? Although I may be wrong and I'd be happy to try any other suggestions.

I have updated the tune with a bit more info on how I set the box up.
Also, I set her up with ABS: 1.
I was having issues keeping her straight as it is so you must be having all sorts of fun with ABS: 0.

Yeah that was it. When I originally tested the gears, I did the flip, then only moved 1st and 5th then the final drive gear. I would suggest posting the actual gear ratios so people get the tune spot on as you have it.

I was impressed with the Tune, even more impressed your only starting out as a Tuner. Ill also mention your open minded attitude is very refreshing, those who think they know it all have no idea how little they actually know, when an open mind is always learning.

Hi, Rooky. How about tune a Scirocco R '10 with 290hp, reduce to lightest weight using sport hard tires, trashing Suzuka Circuit easily time lap of 2:19.*** with your G27 with brake modify ( No drivers aids totally ~ including SRF & ABS off) Many people said it is the fastest FF hatch batch in GT6... Thks Bro, good race tuner!

Hi Steve, I'm not really a fan of FF cars, and my time available to play GT6 is limited, so not sure when I would get round to fulfilling your request above.

However, try the 86 GT tune I've posted above, I'd be very surprised if it's not quicker than the Vee-Dub you're requesting..

It's ok Bro, cos all my friends race no aids! Thks anyway.

It'll work fine with no aids, just turn off the ABS and dial back the brakes a bit - try reducing by 3 and see where that gets you.

It's ultra stable so can't see it having a problem with no ABS.

Alternatively, I'm sure you can find a tune for the Scirocco in this forum somewhere? It's a fairly popular car, there'll be tunes around done by people with much more experience than me..

Yes, u r right. Only braking on high-speed to a slow corner without modify your brake pedal will lock up your wheels for sure.... (ABS off) Lol.

It's such a shame that GT muscle cars PP rating isn't set to allow them to race on a level playing field with the more out and out racers in the game.
However this car is a great drive, I've set up the suspension so that as much as possible it spreads the load through all 4 wheels when breaking, but when you power on all the transfers back onto the rear wheels to maximize for al that lovely torque it has.
I've kept it soft to give it that muscle car feel, but reduced body roll so that you can light up the rear wheels without destabilizing it and making it lurch into directions that you don't want it to go.

You wont win the F1 with it, but you might just think that you're Steve McQueen in 'The Getaway', go get your flares on!

I Originally tuned this for the full Le Mans circuit, it really comes into its own on tracks that require good top and and stability under heavy braking.
It is tuned to be similar to a muscle car; it's not one to be thrashed and screamed into corners, but it doesn't need to be...
It's torque curve is like a tractor, so you can take corners in a higher gear than normal, giving you a bit of stability, and it pulls away on corner exit very smoothly.
You can put fast lap times in without pushing her, take her for a smooth sunday drive, and be surprised when you take away the trophy to show your mates over your pub roast post race (or something like that).
All of this helps in long races where consistent lap times and tyre conservation is the name of the game.
I haven't driven her in a while but dusted her off for the current Daytona road course 500PP seasonal, came first without breaking a sweat or loosing shape through any of the corners.
If you want to drive miss Daisy, but you have a sneaky suspicion that Miss Daisy is a bit more racy than she's letting on, then this is the car for you...
