Adding more speculation to the Button transfer, perhaps they might be getting Rosberg up and going for the 06 season...

Good luck to the fella.

First of all it's Rosberg, not Roseberg. :p

Webber is staying at Williams in the no. 1 seat ...

I hope Nico gets the seat. It would be good to see how he stacks up in race conditions. Good luck to him if he gets the seat.

For 2006, I think Frank would be smart to give up on Button, and get in the talented youngster and 'raise' him in F1.

Only to have him elope to a rival team again?

I agree though, there's not much point forcing a driver to drive for you (even if he has signed a contract)

Well they forced Button out of Williams as they had a contract with Montoya for the following year. I say, sign a contract for next year, with an option for 2007-2008. If he does well next year, keep him for 07-08, if he doesn't, let him go.

Ah, you're right, my mistake :)

Hmm. "Finnish and Italian media speculation"? Will that be Finland where Rosberg is from, and Italy where they print any old nonsense?

I vote "Unlikely". Although I do agree that they should sign Rosberg on a long-term contract and sell Button back to BAR.

Especially since Williams have now lost HP as their main sponsors...

At least it isn't Pizzonia. Finally Williams seem to be getting the clue.

Let's see if his GP2 success translates. Suzuka is one hardcore circuit to make your F1 debute on too. Nothing like learning under fire.

As much as I would like to have another driver to root for on the grid (even though Nico is only half-Finnish), Williams seems to be a dying team. With Cosworth's they will probably be even worse than they are now.

Hopefully BMW will be able to turn Sauber in to a winning team and Keke will be able to work Nico a deal with them... I don't see any other options at the moment for him.

I don't know if that would be a good idea, Keke would eventually want a good contract for Nico and we all know that Frank doesn't like to pay drivers.

I bet Nico will probably end up a McLaren like his pop, and all the other fast finns, and win a world championship or two while he's there. Nico will definately be a world champion, if not a multiple world champion. he is super quick and in my opinion, the quickest guy on the GP2 grid. wether he will do it at McLaren is not for sure.

rock.

Yeah your right McMerc have a thing about Finns....

Some could consider it a fetish.... :scared:

Buzz..

I think Ron Dennis is the one with the fetish, Keke drove for McLaren way before Mercedes and Mika joined 2 years before Mercedes.

Kimi is the only one they have accuired "together".

Offtopic:

For some strange reason I really like Norbert Haug, ever since I saw him going berserk (banging on the counter) over joy after Mika passed Schumi in Spa in 2000.
